Vacation Trailers 2 U is dedicated
to conservation and the health
of the planet. To that end we adhere to the following
“green” business practices:
1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle--
whenever possible we reduce, reuse, and recycle, and we
encourage our customers and vendors to do the same.
2. Paper--in both our
office and in our trailers, we use recycled paper products,
we recycle the paper products we use, and we pursue paperless
options whenever possible.
3. Cleaning Supplies--we
clean our trailers with environmentally-friendly cleaning
supplies and products that are free from harsh chemicals
and environmentally damaging ingredients.
4. Sanitation Products--we
use formaldehyde-free sanitation products to treat and sanitize
the waste tanks of our trailers.
5. Trailer Storage--we
store our trailers as near as possible to the campgrounds
we service and we follow “smart” driving practices
in order to reduce fuel consumption.
6. Customer Orientations--through
our customer orientations and our trailer guides we encourage
our customers to conserve, follow all campground rules,
and respect the wildlife and the natural resources of the
areas we service.
7. Vendors--whenever
possible we buy “green” products for the operation
of our business and we buy from vendors that follow “green”
business practices.
8. Generators--at
substantial additional expense, we equip our trailers with
Honda “environmentally sensitive” model generators
that are both highly noise reducing and
fuel efficient.
9. RV Vacations are Green--contrary
to popular belief, RV vacations are “greener”
than many other common forms of travel and recreation. According
to research conducted by www.RVingCA.org:
“Using the carbon calculator developed by Conservation
International, RV vacations have a less adverse environmental
impact than other forms of travel...Across the board, RV
vacations have a lower carbon dioxide (Co2) emissions level
than airline/rental car/ motel or hotel vacations.”
10. Green Products, Practices,
and Technologies--Vacation Trailers 2 U continually
seeks to incorporate new “green” products, practices,
and technologies into our business model to reduce our impact
on the environment and contribute to the good health of
the planet. |
